Michelle Yeoh stars in the upcoming film Babylon A.D. The flick centers around a mercenary (Vin Diesel) who takes the job of escorting a woman from Eastern Europe to New York. Assuming this is an ordinary mission, he quickly finds out that his guest is carrying a secret package everybody wants to get their hands on.

Actress Zhang Ziyi, who served as a torch bearer for the Chinese leg of the relay, has told Vogue magazine she is perplexed as to why there will be protests at next month’s Beijing Olympics.

“I don’t see why people are so negative. The games are about friendship. I’m Chinese and I’m proud of my country.”

Activists have criticized China’s human rights record and it’s failure to stop mass killings in the Sudanese region of Darfur.

British singer Leona Lewis, 23, was appointed the goodwill ambassador for UK- Japan 2008 cultural exchange project by the British embassy in Japan. Lewis said,

“It’s a honor for me to be appointed. I hope to introduce British music in Japan by visiting here many times. I also want to introduce Japanese music in the UK.”

Four friends plot their last heist together to steal money from a rival gang. Their bold plan follows through and they succeed, until one friend (Kwon Sang-woo) betrays the others for a bigger piece of the pie. They are handed over to the mob boss who takes revenge on them. Won-min (Song Seung-hun) is made to take the fall for the crime and goes to jail. After two years, he gets an early release and wants to put the past behind him. The more that he tries to escape, the tighter the noose around his neck becomes and he is forced back into the dark world to save the friends that he is loyal to. Once again, the cards of betrayal and revenge come into play.

Even though the cyborg starts to like him, she can’t truly feel emotions, so the boy has no choice but to say goodbye to her inhuman power and ‘violence’. Missing her, he continues his lonely existence. Some time thereafter, a disastrous earthquake hits Tokyo and the cyborg girl saves his life. In that moment, she starts to have feelings like a real human being.
