Asashoryu Pulls Out Of Tournament

Asashoryu, who turns 28 this Saturday, pulled out of the latest tournament yesterday, making this his second consecutive tournament he left. According to Jiji Press, Asashoryu have a damaged ligament in his left elbow.
Mongolian grand champion HakuhÅ ShÅ and Japanese sumo wrestler GÅeidÅ GÅtarÅare are tied for the lead at the Autumn Grand Sumo Tournament.
No word yet if Asashoryu will compete in the next upcoming tournament scheduled for November.
