Model Jarah Mariano (Hawaiian, Korean and Chinese descent) is in the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She was also featured in last year’s SI issue. The reason I’m posting Jarah on One Asian World is because there are very few, if any, Asian models who make the SI Swimsuit issue. I’m hoping an Asian model will one day soon make the cover. So congrats to Jarah.

Well get your mind out of the gutter folks! Van Ness Wu (he now adds a space in his first name) is leaving his oh-so-fast-life and dirty ways behind him because he’s found religion. More specifically, he’s found God. Ladies and gents the new Van Ness:

Wondering what the rings represent? They are Chastity Belt rings from his jewellery line, 3VO7. Wu, 31, is a Christian and discusses his reformation in a recent interview with The New Paper. "One of the things that I felt was keeping me from God was sex. So I told myself, ‘let’s just stop that right now.’ " The Taiwanese-American singer/actor is now focusing on his career. He’s currently promoting his new film Kung Fu Chefs, co-staring Hong Kong actor Sammo Hung and Japanese actress Kago Ai. Wu plays Ken, a martial arts foreign exchange student who loves cooking.
What’s up next for Wu? He plans to focus on movies and TV dramas but will release a new solo album later this year.
