tiger wireimage Official: Tiger Drops Out Of Chevron World Challenge

To no one’s great surprise Tiger Woods released a statement this afternoon via his official website that his injuries from the car crash will prevent him from competing in The Chevron World Challenge. “I am extremely disappointed that I will not be at my tournament this week. I am certain it will be an outstanding event and I’m very sorry that I can’t be there.”

The last minute cancellation provides a convenient escape for Mr. Woods to dodge questions concerning the crash and alleged affair. Smart move? Not in my book. He’s just making the situation worse.

So Just How Well Did ‘Ninja Assassin’ Fare At The Box Office?

ninjaassassin06 So Just How Well Did Ninja Assassin Fare At The Box Office?

Bi didn’t pull in the high box office tickets as insiders expected. Over the five-day Thanksgiving holiday weekend Warner Bros. action flick Ninja Assassin opened at No. 6 with a measly $13.1 million over the weekend and $21 million since Wednesday. Critics of the movie cited a weak story line, Bi’s struggle with the English language and lack of acting skill.

You can watch Ninja Assassin in One Asian World’s media database. Keep your head up Rain!

TigerElin 299x350 Day 6 Tigergate: Rachel Uchitel Lands In L.A., Florida Police Going After Woods

Tiger is notorious for publicly dodging questions, conversations about racism since…well…forever. I have a feeling Mr. Woods may discuss being “Cablinasian” (a termed he coined from Caucasian, Black, Native American and Asian) in America because the Florida Highway Police just won’t let up on his butt.

TMZ is reporting FHP are in the process of obtaining a search warrant to seize Tiger’s medical records from the hospital he was treated at a few days ago.

What does this all mean? Well, ultimately very bad news for wife Elin. If the wounds Tiger sustained are consistent with domestic violence (which more than likely they are) rather than a car accident then it looks like someone may be going to the po-po.

Is being Blasian in America the root cause of the Florida police relentlessly going after Tiger (because let’s face it, the police is not interested in the least about his non-celebrity wife)? Not really. However, the fact that Tiger is not 100% Caucasian doesn’t help him win any points in the eyes of the law.

Newly released Jianyu Jianghu (aka Rain of Swords in a Pugilistic World aka The Sword & The Martial Arts World) film poster was unveiled. The upcoming 2010 movie stars Michelle Yeoh, Woo-sung Jung, Kelly Lin, Barbie Hsu and Xueqi Wang. The film is currently in production.

Movie synopsis:

428AD, Bodhi, a Southern India prince became a Buddhist monk and set off for China, earning a hallowed reputation as a mystical martial artist. Following his death, his remains mysteriously disappeared.

Hundreds of years later, Zhang, a high-ranking court official, is assassinated by Drizzle. Zhang’s son Jingxiu, whilst mourning his father’s death, is assailed by a group assassins. They leave him for dead, but somehow he survives and escapes their clutches.

Drizzle, a talented warrior herself, finds herself in possession of Bodhi’s remains, and begins her quest to return them to their rightful resting place at Yunhe Temple. The Black Stone, a team of deadly assassins who employed Drizzle, are also after the remains and the powerful secret they hold. To hide from The Black Stone, Drizzle undergoes drastic facial surgery and changes her name to Zeng Jing (Michelle Yeoh). She flees to Beijing, where she meets and falls in love with Jiang, soon to become her husband.

After a confrontation in Beijing, Zeng Jing’s identity is uncovered and both she and Jiang must flee for their lives. As Zeng Jing kills off members of the gang while they are on the run, she quickly realises Jiang is actually Jingxiu, and he is seeking to avenge his father’s death. This leads to a lethal triangle and a fight to death between our hero Zeng Jing, Jiang and The Black Stone.

The only question remains who will be the last ones standing to uncover the secret of Bodhi’s remains?
