The main cast of Chen Kaige’s upcoming historical drama Zhao’s Orphan held a press conference in east China’s Zhejiang Province to promote the film on April 26th. A brief synopsis below.

The story from China’s Spring and Autumn Period centers around a rural doctor who sacrificed his own son to save the newborn baby of Zhao Dun, the chancellor of the Jin Kingdom whose whole family was executed because of political slander.
