Shu Qi attended a press conference on July 26th to promote the game Ki-Track at Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. The top scorer of the online game will have a chance to meet the actress in person.
Also, Shu Qi’s upcoming film Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen, with co-star Donnie Yen, will be one of two opening films at the 67th Venice International Film Festival this September.
On June 1st I posted news of Takeshi Kaneshiro and Donnie Yen signing on to star in a new action feature tentatively titled Wu Xia. Now, more details are emerging on the film. Kaneshiro will play a law enforcer on the hunt to apprehend a fugitive serial killer (Yen) wanted by the government. Peter Chan, who previously worked with Kaneshiro in the 2007 film The Warlords, is set to direct the flick with an anticipatory release date sometime in summer 2011.
Peter Chan announced a couple of months ago he will shoot the tentatively titled film Wu Xia. I can now confirm Takeshi Kaneshiro and Donnie Yen will play the lead roles in the upcoming martial arts flick. Yeah!!!
Wu Xia follows the story of a man (Yen) living in a small village with a dark past who becomes a cop’s (Kaneshiro) number one suspect after two criminals are killed.
Filming is expected to begin in Yunnan this August. I’ll definitely keep you posted!!
Jay Chou reportedly shelled out ten million yuan to film The Era MV from his upcoming album. Due to the large volume of pre-order sales from Mainland China, the LP is pushed back from the planned release date of May 14th to now May 18th. Check out the MV teaser below!
