Show business can be tough. One day you’re in. The next day you’re out.

Ziyi’s problems are going from bad to worse. Just days ago Emporio Armani officially ended their endorsement deal with Zhang Ziyi due to the negative media attention from the quake donation fund fraud the actress was wrapped up in. Zhang reportedly owed 160,000 yuan for her 1-million-yuan pledge toward the Wenchuan earthquake relief. It wasn’t until the media found out that the actress paid the remaining pledge. Now a new rumor suggests that Zhang cheated the public with her fund-raising activities held in Cannes and New York in 2008. Whoa.

Think that’s all? Not quite. In December 2009 a Beijing-based publication reported that Zhang allegedly had a “special relationship” with a married businessman in Shanghai. In the wake of that scandal  Zhang quit the film Snow Flower and The Secret Fan, a project she had planned to star in for a long time.

There is some good news for Zhang Ziyi. She has been cast as the lead in director Gu Changwei upcoming drama, The Era of Magic. Zhang will also produce the film while Aaron Kwok co-stars.

Shah Rukh Khan recently hosted a party for Akon at Mumbai’s JW Marriot hotel. Akon is in town to record a track for SRK’s upcoming film Ra 1 as well as play a part in the flick.

SRK stars as a software engineer in Miami who’s inadvertently drawn into combat with a self-created virtual monster, Ra 1.

Michelle Obama’s one-shouldered ivory chiffon inaugural gown covered in organza flowers and Swarovski crystals, designed by fashion designer Jason Wu, is now in the hands of the Smithsonian, where every first lady since Helen Taft in 1912 donated their dresses.

On February 27th 2PM, JYP Entertainment reps and representatives of Korean and international 2PM fan clubs met in Seoul to discuss the sudden dismissal of Park Jaebum and the future of the kpop group. Folks, I’m not gonna waste your time with the minute-by-minute details. In a nutshell, the remaining 2PM members agreed with JYP to say adieu to Jay on January 6th.

My take: Folks, do you honestly (I mean deep, deep down in your heart) believe the remaining six guys in the kpop group are going against their bread and butter?!? Junsu, Junho, Nichkhun, Taecyeon, Wooyoung and Chansung are under contract. They do and say what they are told by upper management.  If JYP tells them to jump the group’s only response is, ‘How high?’. I cannot think of a single legitimate reason why Jaeboem was fired. Unless he murdered, raped or turned out to be some freakin’ terrorist Jay should be reinstated. Period. End of discussion.

Btw, at the meeting JYPE made clear Jay will not be required to pay damages to the company despite the termination of his contract. *rolls eyes* Oh goody Mr. Park Jin Young. You just wait and see how this absurd dismissal affects your 2010 profits. To be continued….
