‘We Are Family’ Releases One Week Earlier

Siddharth Malhotra‘s We Are Family, starring Kajol, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal, will release one week EARLIER than originally planned. Instead of the September 10th drop date, We Are Family is now set to release on September 3rd.

Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan and Hollywood A-listers Kristen Stewart and Christopher Waltz will star in the upcoming sci-fi romantic drama Paani (aka पानी / Water) under the direction of Shekhar Kapoor. The film’s score will be composed by none other than Academy Award winner A. R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire).

The film’s plot summary below.

Many years into the future, the earth’s water supply has run-out. The events and wars that follow as a result.

Paani is slated for release in 2012. I’ll keep you posted.

Shu Qi attended a press conference on July 26th to promote the game Ki-Track at Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. The top scorer of the online game will have a chance to meet the actress in person.

Also, Shu Qi’s upcoming film Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen, with co-star Donnie Yen, will be one of two opening films at the 67th Venice International Film Festival this September.

Houston Rockets center Yao Ming, actor Stanley Huang and actress/producer Zhang Ziyi attended a charity gala for Yao Foundation Charity Tour in Beijing on July 23rd. The Yao Foundation charity fund-raising event was established by Yao in 2008 in the aftermath of the earthquake in southwest China’s Sichuan Province.

Btw, Zhang Ziyi and Leehom Wang will team up in the $100 million 3-D film Hua Mulan. Full story HERE.

Dante Lam‘sThe Stool Pigeon (aka Sin yan), starring Nic Tse, Nick Cheung, Kwai Lun-mei, Liu Kai-chi, Miao Pu and Lu Yi, is a sequel to 2008′s Beast Stalker but with a slight twist. In Beast Stalker Tse played the cop and Cheung played the criminal, whereas in this film, Tse plays the criminal and Cheung plays the cop.

The movie summary below.

Inspector Don Lee (Nick Cheung) often works with informants but numerous too-close calls and failed missions cause him to see the world as one betrayal after another. Later, he meets Guy (Nicholas Tse), and is given a new chance to change his views.

Another movie poster was released for the upcoming romantic drama In Your Eyes starring real-life couple Anne Curtis and Richard Gutierrez and award-winning actress Claudine Barretto. I’ve posted a more detailed plot summary below.

The sisterly love is what most siblings look forward to in search for a family bond away from the comforts of their home. The sisterhood of Ciara (Claudine Barretto) and her younger sister, Julia (Anne Curtis) leads to a treacherous interest leading to sacrifice love for the pain that will eventually bring joy to them.

The movie is set in the urban area, in the city of bright lights, America. The two sisters were caught in an unexpected love triangle with Storm (Richard Gutierrez).

Will you sacrifice your happiness when your own happiness already found another joy? Will you still fight even if the leaves of your heart wither from pain and sorrow? Will you surrender your felicity for the sake of replenishing your sister’s own happiness?

Love, Betrayal and Sacrifice doesn’t always end with a good ending. In the end, destiny will find its way to bring together true love. But with whom?
