Director Takeuchi Hideki and the stars of Nodame Cantabile: The Movie IIUeno Juri and Tamaki Hiroshi promoted their new film at a press conference held at the Seoul Lotte Cinemas on September 2nd.

Nodame Cantibile II hits theatres in Korea on September 9th.
More posters were released for Tsui Hark’s upcoming movie Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame, starring Andy Lau, Carina Lau, Li Bingbing and Tony Leung Ka-fai.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra is set to direct Nicolas Cage in his upcoming gangster flick Broken Horses. The film is based off of Chopra’s 1989 award-winning movie Parinda (aka The Bird). The Hindustan Times is reporting,
“Vidhu is currently in Los Angeles, working on for Broken Horses. Even in Mumbai, he was in touch with his Hollywood contacts for the cast and crew. Cage has been confirmed for one of the leading roles just a few days ago,” says our source.”
Mickey Rourke was reportedly approached to also star in the film; however, there’s no word as to whether he will officially join the cast. I’ll keep you posted.
The first trailer was released for Zhang Yimou‘s upcoming romantic drama The Love of the Hawthorn Tree (aka Under The Hawthorn Tree), starring newcomers Zhou Dongyu and Dou Xiao.
