The Chaser was the big winner at last night’s16th Chunsa Film Festival in Icheon. The movie walked away with 8 awards including Best Actor and Best Director. Check out a few pics from the awards show below.

Kim Ah-joong will star in the upcoming film 29 Years. The film is based on the famous Internet comic author Kang Full’s 26 Years. Co-stars cast in the film include Ryoo Seung-beom, Byeon Hee-bong, Cheon Ho-jin, Jin Goo and Han Sang-jin.

In 2007 Kim won the ‘Best Actress’ Grand Bell Award for the highly successful flick 200 Pounds Beauty. 29 Years starts filming next month.

Korea held its 45th Daejong Film Festival on June 27th, honoring actors, actresses, directors, and magicians behind movie-making. Kim Yoon Jin (top right) who appears on the popular ABC drama Lost, won the best supporting actress award for her role in Seven Days. Daniel Henney received the new actor award for his emotionally captivating role in My Father. The hit film of 2008, The Chaser, that received international recognition at Cannes, won a total of 6 awards, including best picture, best supporting actor and best director.
