Dante Lam‘sThe Stool Pigeon (aka Sin yan), starring Nic Tse, Nick Cheung, Kwai Lun-mei, Liu Kai-chi, Miao Pu and Lu Yi, is a sequel to 2008′s Beast Stalker but with a slight twist. In Beast Stalker Tse played the cop and Cheung played the criminal, whereas in this film, Tse plays the criminal and Cheung plays the cop.

The movie summary below.

Inspector Don Lee (Nick Cheung) often works with informants but numerous too-close calls and failed missions cause him to see the world as one betrayal after another. Later, he meets Guy (Nicholas Tse), and is given a new chance to change his views.

The Stool Pigeon drops in theatres on August 26th.

Six new movie posters were released today for Charlene Choi’s upcoming romantic comedy Beauty on Duty co-starring Sandra Ng, Lu Yi, Chan Wai-Ting, Xie Na and Fan Sui-Wong. The film releases in theatres on April 1st.

Pretty pics of real-life couple Lu Yi and Bao Lei in a new commercial for German car-maker Mercedes-Benz. According to Sina.com.cn the commercial will start airing next month. Nice.

The Stool Pigeon (aka Beast Stalker 2 ) wrapped up film production at the end of December 2009 with a release date set this coming summer. Director Dante Lam promises the sequel will be “no ordinary gangster action film.” Instead audiences should expect a darker more complicated plot with bigger action scenes. I’ll post movie stills and posters when they release.
