Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan and Hollywood A-listers Kristen Stewart and Christopher Waltz will star in the upcoming sci-fi romantic drama Paani (aka पानी / Water) under the direction of Shekhar Kapoor. The film’s score will be composed by none other than Academy Award winner A. R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire).

The film’s plot summary below.

Many years into the future, the earth’s water supply has run-out. The events and wars that follow as a result.

Paani is slated for release in 2012. I’ll keep you posted.

VIBE asked music producer Irv Gotti: “Does Nicki Minaj have what it takes to be a star?”

Gotti’s replied,

The world has yet to see the best of Nicki Minaj. What she’s delivering to the world now is basically what they want. But I know that she’s a super talented superstar who can do anything at a high level—rap, sing, act, whatever she wants to do. This is just the beginning of Nicki Minaj. Her best is yet to come. In my opinion she is as talented as my other girl Lauryn Hill. They have completely different styles. But as far as the talent is concerned they both can do it all. Nicki just isn’t showing it yet ’cause she doesn’t want to. But world be prepared ’cause she’s the truth!

Dawg got it twisted.

Don’t get me wrong folks. I like some of Nicki Minaj‘s singles (Up Out My Face was hawt and her latest track Your Love sampled over Annie Lennox’s No More I Love You’s is mad fresh and innovative) BUT to even suggest let alone put Nicki in the same echelon as L-Boogie is downright craziness. Lauryn Hill is an icon even though she released one solo album. The chick is bad to the bone. Period.

Check this. Lauryn and Nicki both made references to Japanese culture in songs but only Lauryn got it right. Check it.

Jolin Tsai Changes Album Name…Again & Resembles Toy Story’s Buzz Lightyear??

Jolin Tsai‘s upcoming album has already undergone two name changes. The album, set to release on August 10th, is now entitled Jolin Tsai Myself. The album was initially titled VOGUE then flipped to Voguing to pay homage to Madonna. Check out a track below.

Fans are not happy with Jolin’s new look. Critics say she looks like the character “Buzz Lightyear” from Toy Story.

My take: Man, folks can be cold-blooded.
